President of Kalvi Pani and Health India Foundation. He has
done pioneering work in transforming Tambaram Sanatorium into
a well organised health care centre for HIV and tuberculosis
patients and setting up a training centre for Physicians Responsible
for AIDS Management (PRAM). He has evolved numerous strategies
in handling the rising HIV incidence by advocating an indigenous
system of Medicare and revolutionised the medical
management of AIDS patients with cost effective siddha drugs.

Dr. K.Palaniswamy is a qualified Siddha specialist. He
has worked in the State Government, Central Government
and Research Institutions. He puplished more than 60 scientific
papers. Now he is working as D.D (STD) at TNSAC. He is
in charge of the 57 STD clinics throughout Tamil Nadu,
care and support of HIV support wards and the numerous
research activities in finding new drugs for controlling
HIV/AIDS among patients. His work further involves assessment
and monitoring of HIV TB CO infection programs at the
Tambaram Sanatorium and also conducting family health
awareness campaigns every year.

Superintendent, IOG and Government Hospital for Women and
Children, Egmore and Professor of Ob & Gyn, Madras Medical
