Study 1: Awareness Levels on STDs

At an overall level, about three fourths of all respondents surveyed mentioned that they were aware of sexually Transmitted Diseases. The awareness levels is slightly lower among migrant labourers, street children and MSM when compared to other segments.

AS execpted, the awareness about HIV/AIDS per se is much greater that that of STDs with 94% of all respondents surveyed mentioning that they heard about it. Awareness among students and street children is comparatively lower.
